Fresh Strawberry Ice Cream!
Serves 2

Cooking time: 3 hours
Ingredients:
- 200 grams fresh strawberries, washed and chopped
- 100 ml cream
- 100 ml whole milk
- 2 egg yolks
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla or a vanilla pod
Directions:
In a bowl add half the sugar, lemon juice and strawberries and let stand for sometime . Next in a sauce pan add cream, milk and vanilla pod and heat until this mixture boils. Once done let stand to cool. In a separate bowl add the remaining sugar and the egg yolks and whisk until the mixture turns pale yellow. When done add the cooled cream, milk and vanilla mixture and cook this mixture until it thickens and starts looking like a custard. Next blend the strawberries coarsely and add it to the thick milk and cream mixture. Transfer to a container and freeze it for an hour and then blend it. Repeat this 2-3 more times. Wait until the ice cream sets and serve!
